Tribute to Aunt Bertha
A special aunt that will stay in
our heart,
I believe she was an angel right
from the start,
Gardening was a pure passion
for her,
Being a perfect hostess always~
for sure!
One of the "Happy Gang" in the
Pennant Hall,
For goodies & serving at
functions ~she was the one
to call,
We know she was always
willing to give a helping hand,
Fixing items,cooking & cleaning
~she was ever so grand,
I remember her defrosting my
freezer after my surgery many
years ago,
Bringing a block of ice out
& in a blink of an eye~
where did it go??
Phone calls were a highlight
of mine too,
Answering all the questions
about relatives in an old
Siemers photo~
now what will I do?
New Years family suppers at
Buster & Bertha's were
a delicious treat,
Servings of homemade foods
& even ice cream~so sweet,
Each precious memory will
become a treasure to keep
with us,
We all know she wouldn't want
us to make a big fuss,
And Heaven got the best angel
ever~~
Ours
(Oh & it will be dust bunny free )
Forever Remembered with
Much Love

To Barbara, Bruce and family,
From all of the Spiker clan we want to express our deepest sympathy. Your Mom and Dad were such special people who touched our lives in so many ways and all of them included laughter, kindness and utmost generosity. When each of us heard of Bertha's passing we paused and reflected on how she always made us feel special . Her welcome mat was always out and I chuckle to remember how Dad loved to visit at their home because the food was " out of this world" .
We are saddened but so grateful for all the memories. Thankyou Bertha - you were one of a kind.!

To Barbara and family as well as Cody,Frankie,Ryder and Seth
You may not remember me but your mom and Grandma and I remained friends until weeks before she passed.
I was so sad to hear of Berthas passing. I had started to believe she may very well outlive me!!
I grew up in Pennant with Bertha and Buster a part of my life. We visited often after I moved to M.hat and worked at the mall Safeway.i also always looked forward to a chat with her when I went back to Pennant.
I'm so sorry for your loss and that this condolence is late in bring sent. I tried shortly after her passing but online system was down. Her sunny disposition and hard working nature will forever stay with me.She was always a huge cheerleader to me,especially after I became ill. With great memories and respect,Angela(Haw)Perrin

How very sad I am to hear of Bertha's passing. Although I have not lived in Pennant for many years, whenever I saw her, she always had the biggest hugs that were filled with love and reminded me of what it was like to grow up in a small community where everyone knew everyone. I will miss her smile and cheerful nature and when we meet again, I hope she has a bowl full of her famous popcorn balls that we enjoyed every Halloween!!! Rest in peace Bertha - you will be missed.

Bertha was a wonderful and caring person. I was one of those 4-H kids who learned to sew from Bertha and it is a skill I still use. I always enjoyed bringing Mom out to Senior's Coffee in Pennant to have a visit and Mom keeps asking when we can go again. Very saddened to hear of her passing. Thoughts and Prayers are with you.
