Obituary of Denys Stubbins

STUBBINS – Denys, age 77 passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7 at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility with his family by his side. Denys was born on August 29, 1940 in Sheffield, England to George and Martha Stubbins. Dad loved mountain climbing and played rugby at a young age. He moved to Canada in 1967 and was a school teacher in Eyebrow and then in Morse, touching many lives until his retirement in 1993. He was very involved in the Sask Teacher’s Federation and was on the executive for many years. After moving to Canada he met the love of his life, Carolyn Brown and they were married in 1973. Their only son Brendan was born in 1978. Later in life he loved fishing and loved his two grandchildren, Connor and Callie Stubbins. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Stubbins; son Brendan (wife Camela); grandchildren Connor & Callie Stubbins and grand-dog Winston. He was predeceased by his parents George & Martha Stubbins. Donations made to the Herbert First Responders at the Prairie Centre Credit Union in Herbert would be greatly appreciated by the family. A family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Morse Cemetery, Morse, SK.
