Obituary of Donna Lee Williamson

Donna Williamson passed away on August 30^th, 2023, at the age of 73.  She was born on January 31^st, 1950, in the Vanguard Hospital.  She grew up on the family farm south of Pambrun, SK with her parents, sisters, and brothers, and in a yard full of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She had many adventures and had a lot of fun with the Williamson Clan on the farm.  Rafting and catching minnows on the creek; bale forts, tunnels and playing in the loft; cold outdoor rinks, and warm summer bonfires to name a few.  In grade 12 she moved with her parents to their house in Swift Current, SK.  In 1971 she moved to Lafleche, SK to teach.  She married Ronald Sewell on October 30^th, 1971, and later moved to the Sewell farm where they started their family in the house they built.  They raised their 4 boys on the farm who got to spend many summer days at “Mom’s Happy Place”, Lac Pelletier, SK where she was surrounded by many brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.  In 1998 she moved to Lafleche where she spent her winters, while spending her summers at her place at Lac Pelletier.

Donna had many jobs throughout her life.  Stay-at-home mom, teacher, farm hand / truck driver, and continuing care aide.  She was active in the community, especially at the Lafleche Club 50 where she helped organize weekly events such as cards and quilting, with her friends.  In her spare time, she really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends while playing cards and games.  She was also an avid quilter which any of her relatives can attest to.  Most of them have quilts from her that they have as a memory of how much she loved them.

She is survived by her children; Jy (Candace) Sewell, Brent Sewell, Randy Sewell, and Terry (Jenine) Sewell, her sisters; Joan (Dwight) L’Heureux and Lori (Ian) Fraser, her brothers Ross (Annette) Williamson and Tom (Helene) Williamson, her grandchildren; Tyler (Ashley) Foley, Logan Sewell, Austin Sewell, Cru Northcott, Brooklynne Sewell, and Lincoln Sewell, and her great grandchildren; Maxis Foley and Ella Foley.

She is predeceased by her parents; George Williamson and Lorraine Williamson, her sister; Glenda Kehoe, her brother-in-law; Bill Kehoe, and her ex-husband; Ronald Sewell.
