Obituary of Helen Dumont

DUMONT – Helen (formerly of Val Marie) passed away peacefully at Willow Creek Manor with family by her side on January 11, 2023, at age 93

Helen is survived by her seven children:  Geraldine (Denis) Dube, Julieanne (Maurice) Cote, Wilfred (Trudy) Dumont, Eugene Dumont, Muriel (Vern) Stevenson, Louise (Alvin) Amendt, Charlie Dumont. She is also survived by her siblings: Dorothy Zohner, Leo (Viola) Laturnus and Pauline Gardner. 

She was predeceased by her husband Andre, her parents Wendel and Margaret (Glas) Laternus, her sister Rose, and three brothers-in-law. She will be missed by her 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mom’s greatest joy was time spent with her family.  She spent many hours outdoors tending to her beautiful flower garden. We will cherish the memories made during her birthday parties when the family gathered together.

A memorial mass will be held on June 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Parish in Swift Current, SK.
