Obituary of Teeder Houghton

Teeder (Edward) was born October 9, 1949. He passed away peacefully with his family holding dear on March 6, 2021. He farmed his whole life but his life was really is family.  He married his best friend Maureen on November 21, 1987. On August 18, 1988 our first son Thomas Leonard was born.  Teeder was so proud and excited for the Houghton name to carry on. On August 1, 1989 his first daughter Laura Ann was born.  Teeder almost got struck by lighting that morning and kinda did with this daughter. Laura married Will Chalk on October 9, 2010. On July 2, 1991 our second son Baxter Edward was born.  His is as unique as his. He married Ammaysha Banman August 4, 2012. On June 11, 1993 our second daughter Meeghan Maureen was born, a real daddy’s little girl.  She married Ty Stanton on March 5, 2021. Teeder was so happy to see his baby so happy and married before he left this earth. Our first grandson Koehn Chalk was born January 31, 2010 (grandpa’s Kit Kat partner); our second grandson Sterling Chalk was born December 16, 2011. Teeder was so proud that Sterling’s middle name was Edward (grandpa’s name). Our first granddaughter McKinley Houghton was born November 23, 2016, she was the twinkle in grandpa’s eye. Our second granddaughter Maci Houghton was born September 15, 2021. Grandpa always had babybels in the fridge for his favorite “4”.  Teeder was a man who loved deeply and had a heart as big as the sky. His legacy will live on through his kids and grandkids. Teeder we are all missing you dearly.  “Until we meet again”.
