Obituary of Linda Jaster

JASTER (nee Schmidt) – Linda Ruth passed away on December 4, 2020 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. She was born to Jacob and Katherine Schmidt on January 19, 1949 in Swift Current, SK. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry of Swift Current; daughter Loriann (Shaun) Twist of Portage La Prairie, grandchildren Cody (Tegan), great granddaughter Roryann, grandchild Brayden (Nicole); son Leslie Jaster of Saskatoon; daughter Lana Jaster (Steve Paul), grandchildren Lance Hilmoe and Trinity Paul. Linda is predeceased by her parents Jacob (1976), Katherine (1999) father and mother-in-law Albert (2002) and Pearl (2010) and granddaughter Shantel Hilmoe (2017). Linda grew up on a farm south of Swift Current and remained in the area throughout most of her life. She attended Marvel School in 1967 and obtained her hairdresser certificate. A short time later she met Larry Jaster they were married on November 2, 1968 and began their family. While Linda raised 3 children, she pursued her career. She was employed at the Style Center for 23 years and enjoyed her days there. Linda also enjoyed camping with her family and the many road trips she took with Larry. Linda will be deeply missed and forever loved by her husband, children, family, and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the service will be by invite only.
