Obituary of Mae Mildred Watson
WATSON, Mae Mildred (nee Gadd) was born Sept 6th, 1925 and passed away peacefully at the Meadows Care Facilities in Swift Current on Oct 20th 2019 with John at her side. Mae is survived by her husband John (married 71 years) children; son Bob (Patsy) and their children Jayda (Brian Moreau) Jacey (Adam Fullerton); daughter Patricia Watson and her children Roley Torrance and his son Pryor, Max (Megan) Torrance and their children Irene and Dylan; daughter Joanne McEwan and her son James; daughter Karen Watson (Tony Hachey); Mae’s sister Irene Watson of Regina and brother Keith (Jean) Gadd of Drinkwater. Mae was predeceased by her parents Art and Hilda Gadd; brother Roy Gadd; sister Hazel Bean; sister-in-law Norma Gadd; brothers-in-law Gordon Bean and Paddy Watson; sons-in-law Fred McEwan and Gordie Torrance. Mae was always very active in her community. She was involved over the years with Sunday School, ACT swim club, Shrine Ladies and Order of the Eastern Star. Mae loved gardening and her love of flowers along with her creative decorating talents led her to work in flower shops. Mae was an excellent cook from homemade bread to her delicious canning. We will miss her no nonsense with lots of common sense way, her sense of humour and her life lesson stories. We know Mae has gone to a better place and by now will have everything organized and in the colour pink. The family would like to thank the staff at the Meadows especially House 9 for their excellent care in her final years. At Mae’s request there will be no formal service. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
