Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Horvey

HORVEY - Elizabeth Jane (Janie) passed away November 8, 2018 at the age of 56. She was born December 27, 1961 in Swift Current, SK and from then on defied all odds. She attended Oman, Kin and Beatty Schools and later worked at Southwest Abilities for several years. She loved singing, dancing and playing guitar (which always came out at family gatherings). She enjoyed listening to the radio, looking through magazines, watching her favorite TV shows and walks with her childhood dog “Bingo” (which usually required a search to track them both down, but her faithful dog never left her side).  Janie is predeceased by her parents Betty and Joe Horvey and her eldest brother Leonard Horvey. She is survived by her siblings Leslie Denny, Ken Horvey (Shirley), Joe Horvey (Carrie), Lyn Jejina (Dave) and Laura Grant (Tom). She was a special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews as well. Our sweet Janie is now resting in the arms of Jesus.

The family would like to thank the staff at the PRCC and The Meadows for their care. Also thanks to Bonnie Dueck, her special friend and sister at heart for being there when family could not.  A private family internment will be held at a later date.
