Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

WALL – Margaret (nee Froese) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK at the age of 90 years.  Margaret was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 7, 1928 while her family was living there with hopes of beginning a new church and school in their own language.  Her family returned to Canada two years later to their Canadian home in Schoenfeld, SK.  Margaret’s childhood was spent mostly in Schoenfeld as well as two years in Vanderhoof, BC when her parents made another family move in search of new opportunities.  Margaret’s first job away from the home was working as a live-in housemaid for a pastor and his family in Swift Current.  Shortly after that, she began waitressing at Frank’s Café in Swift Current.  After these temporary jobs, she decided to work at something a bit more career related and moved to Vanderhoof, BC, to work with her sister, Helen at the Grey Nun’s Hospital.  It was there that she became ill with Diphtheria and survived this terrible disease after 3 months of isolation in the same hospital.  Margaret struggled greatly with loneliness while in Vanderhoof. So after regaining her health, she decided to move back to be with her family in Schoenfeld.  She soon met Henry Wall, the love of her life, whom she married on September 2, 1951.  She and her husband Henry lived in Willowbunch and Bengough, SK to be near Henry’s work where he ran jobs as a construction foreman.  Later they returned to Swift Current and built a house and put down their roots.  Margaret was a hardworking mother looking after 3 children as well as working for many years at the Palliser Regional Care Centre.  She is survived by her loving husband, Henry; her children, Stan (Roseanne), Randall, and Brenda (Ben) Neufeld; her grandchildren, Donalee (Brian) Austring, Carrie Wall, Travis Wall and Denver (Ashley) Neufeld; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Levi and Lydia Austring.  She is predeceased by her parents Henry and Agatha Froese; her brothers, Henry, George and Jake; her sisters, Helen, Agatha, and Tiena; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.  She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.  A funeral service was held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of The Open Bible with Pastor Rob Cochrane officiating.  The interment took place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.  Donations in memory of Margaret can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolence, visit www.parksidefuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle.
