Obituary of Marie Reimer

Marie Jeannette Reimer (née Comeau) passed away on Monday, April 30th, 2018 at Clover House in Swift Current after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeannette was born at home on August 2, 1946 in Claire-Fontaine, NB, a small French fishing village that is now part of Kouchibouguac National Park. Her youth was spent working in Fredericton and spending quality time with friends and family. In 1970, Jeannette married Murray Reimer and relocated to Swift Current where she lived a full life as a dedicated home-maker and caregiver to many. Jeannette leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, her daughter Monique (Jensen), her husband Marc and son Victor. Jeannette is predeceased by her parents Willy and Elvina Comeau and four of her ten siblings; Mederick, Alyre, Germaine and Lauda. Jeannette was an outgoing people person and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and organizing family events. As a young newlywed, family, friends and neighbors were important to her as she learned how to speak English and adjust to the prairie way of life. Jeannette was a loving determined, creative, kind and hard-working woman. She is best remembered by many for her talents in horticulture, scrapbooking and beautiful photography. Thank you to all our family, friends and neighbors who prayed for Jeannette and sent her love and support with phone calls, visits, food preparation and other help she needed. Also, thank you to the hospital nurses, home care nurses and Clover House palliative care staff.
