Obituary of Margaret Neustaeter
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
NEUSTAETER – Margaret Margaret was born December 25, 1940 – a precious gift to Aron & Anna (Schapansky) Neustaeter, on their first Christmas as a married couple. She was the eldest of 11 children. Margaret did the majority of her growing up in the Wymark area, with a brief move to Manitoba. After leaving school, she worked in Swift Current & Kindersley, but Wymark would always be home. In 1976, Margaret welcomed Ryan Craig as her son; she was a proud mother, who cheered at many a sporting event and worked hard to support her little family. Margaret had a deep interest in her family’s ancestral history and spent a lot of her spare time researching their past. She, also, volunteered on family and community history book and reunion committees. Margaret spent many, many years serving the hamlet of Wymark as their mayor. Margaret passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, following a lengthy illness. Margaret is survived by her son, Ryan Craig Neustaeter; sisters, Katherine Neustaeter, Mary Luepke, Eva Neustaeter, Betty (Ed) Ginter, and Susan Mellom; brothers Henry, Abe, and Ern; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Aron & Anna, brother Bill, and sister Barb; brothers-in-law Lawrence Dyck & Morley Luepke, and, sister-in-law, Jessie Neustaeter.
