Obituary of Frank Ens

ENS – Frank passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1925 in Blumenhof, SK to Peter and Margaretha Ens. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephews; Clinton Ens, Brian Ens and is his wife Marilyn Ens and Steven Ens.
Frank is survived by his brothers, John (Irene) Ens, Jake (Sylvia) Ens, David (Kathleen) Ens, Jim (Irene) Ens and his sisters, Susie (Frank) Zacharias, Sarah (Pete) Friesen, Anne (Abe) Friesen and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank owned and operated Ens store in Blumenhof with his brother John and was postmaster until the year he turned 65. He farmed all his life in the Blumenhof area until he moved to Swift Current, SK. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideon’s Society. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor John Regier officiating. The organist was Arlene Olson and the obituary was read by Wanita Christensen and a tribute given by Carolyn Nixon. The pallbearers were: Brent Ens, Mark Ens, Darren Ens, Dennis Zacharias, Wes Friesen and Brad Ens. The interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.
