WALL – Rodney (Rod) of Rush Lake, SK passed away peacefully on September 10, 2011 at the Herbert Hospital at the age of 59. Rodney was born on December 24, 1951 at the Swift Current Hospital to the late Frank and Ruth Wall. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his son, Bradley Wall; grandchildren Koltin Lytle-Wall, Kenzie Gordey, Noah Mayer; sisters, Joyce (Noel) Enns and Marlys Janzen (Jim Volk); brother, Stuart (Richele) Wall; nieces, Melanie (Jeremy) Pettigrew, Cecelia (Curt) Schulz, Desiree Wall, and Virginia Wall; nephews, Todd Janzen and Charles (Maria) Enns and many great friends. Rodney spent most of his life farming in the Rush Lake area with his dad and brother. Always a cowboy at heart, he loved to go riding and attend the rodeos in the area when he had the chance. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Those who knew him knew they could stop in any time for coffee and visit. The family would like to thank the staff at the Herbert Hospital for taking wonderful care of him. The memorial service was held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Wall officiating. The organist was Myrna Priebe and a tribute was given by his niece Melanie Pettigrew. The interment took place at the Herbert Cemetery, Herbert, SK. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. For further information or to sign the family book of condolence, visit our website at www.parksidefuneralhome.com.
