Obituary of John Bushie

BUSHIE – John Edward passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Palliser Regional Care Centre with his loving wife Marlene, daughter Roxanne and son Jason at his side. John was born in 1931 in North Battleford, SK. He was raised in Minitonas, MB. John left the family farm at a young age and worked a variety of jobs in BC, AB and SK. In 1968 John met Marlene Philips and in 1970 they married. John and Marlene eventually settled in Sudbury, Ontario where he worked for Falconbridge Nickel Mines until his retirement in 1996, when he and Marlene returned to Saskatchewan. John is predeceased by both his parents, Cliff & Marjorie, his son Gary and sisters Jean and Donna. He is survived by his wife Marlene, Daughter Roxanne (Bruce), sons Dallas (Phillip), Jeff (Heather), Scott (Karen), Jason ; numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Palliser Regional Care Centre Auxiliary, the Morse Museum or the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of John. Arrangements were in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home.
