With great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy LaPaire (nee Fjeldberg), of Assiniboia SK, on June 3, 2012 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Maurice and daughter Elaine (in infancy); parents John and Helga Fjeldberg; brothers Odd, John and Donald; sisters Martha Knecht;Helene Sangster and Joan Ciocia; brother-in-law Henry Knecht, Dorothy is survived by her children Karen Funk (Tony) of Swift Current, Wayne (Betty) of Turner Valley AB, Doug (Nancy) of Carters Point NB, Richard of Big Beaver, and Kevin (Sheila) of Brigden ON; 8 grand children and 3 great grand children; sisters: Agnes Vangen, Ella (Bill) Ogston, Inga (Gil) Benson, brother Arthur (Rosalie), brothers-in-law Robert Sangster and George Ciocia. Funeral service will be held at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Assiniboia on Friday June 8 at 1:00 pm. Donations in Memory of Dorothy can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Arrangements were in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
