Obituary of Delford Gustafson

He was born October 30, 1926 at the family farm near Ceylon, SK. Del married Julianna Gabriel on July 10, 1946 and their first few months were spent in Regina where Del worked for the City of Regina. They then moved to Brooking, SK where Del and Julie worked for a local farmer. In 1948 they moved to the Ceylon District and began farming which they continued until they sold the farm in 1995 and moved to Eastend, SK. Delford was a kind and generous man who loved his family and he will be deeply missed by his wife, Julie of 66 years, daughter Sherry (Dennis) Webster and grandchildren Shauna (Ken) Bourassa, Danita (Trevor) Wallin and Sean (Raelynne) Webster, daughter Sandra (Bob) Mase and grandchildren Angela (Dwaine) Vandenameele, Curtis (Carey) Mase, Kelsey (Danielle) Mase and Sharla (Derek) Lord, 18 great-grandchildren, sisters Elfie Carlson and Sue Kremyr as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Hulda Gustafson, brothers Reuben, Johnes, Harold, Melvin, Robert, Victor and great-grandson Branden Bourassa. The family would like to offer sincere thanks to the ambulance team that transported Del to Shaunavon and Swift Current and the staff at Shaunavon Hospital and Cypress Regional Hospital for their care, support and compassion offered to Del and his family. A family service and interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Saskatchewan.
