What a joy it must have been to be his friend, I am his cousin, (Peter. Margaret’s brother was my father). What a beautiful memorial. We will really miss him when we visit Swift Current. I will always remember when he scared the crap out of me at the Petro Can Gas Station. He laughed so hard and I almost peed my pants he scared me so bad. Brent and I laugh every time we get gas there. Our love and prayers to Barb and her family and to Uncle Don.

My sincerest condolences to Barb and family. Dennis was such a great guy, always smiling. I loved our trips to Vanguard for the medieval feasts and working with him at Bronco games. It won’t be the same not seeing him at the iplex next season. I will miss him tremendously. RIP Dennis.

I have absolutely fabulous memories of Dennis with many many childhood hours spent with Denise and her family. The above tribute is excellent – it’s something I’d like to show parents and teens of today….how do you leave your mark in this world? Being like Dennis…kind, helpful, welcoming, known for his generosity and humour. The list goes on. He will be dearly missed by MANY but with that forever remembered as his memory will live on through others and things they do in honour of him – volunteering, repeating his jokes/tricks, gardening, etc.

Dennis always had a friendly face when he came to work the penalty box and he did that for 50 years. Unbelievable. He will be greatly missed by all of us at the Bronco office – he was so reliable, said hi to all of us each game and every year brought us a carrot cake. We hope the family can take comfort in knowing their husband and father made a great difference in a lot of people’s lives.

“I still see more”. Well, here’s hoping that we still see more people like Dennis in the future. We have been lucky to be able to meet really nice people through really nice people. Dennis was one of them. We met him through the Saradas. Every time we’ve met up since, it has been in a parking lot. Is that a coincidence, or is it because our wives shop a lot? Oops! Of course, he was always wearing that grin, like the one in the great picture above. I certainly will remember Dennis when we light our campfires, and any time the Broncos are mentioned.
