THOMPSON – Leslie James – May 15, 1947-March 31, 2013. Les passed away peacefully with family at his side in the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Hilda, brother in infancy, Ken, numerous aunts and uncles, mother and father-in-law, John and Edith, brother-in-law Alfred, and nephew, Wayne. Les is survived by his loving wife, Jackie, daughter, Christine (Joe, Zoe and Emma Fortune) of Vancouver, BC, Chad (Erin, Huycke and Elly) of Nova Scotia; Brothers Doug (Lawreen) of Morse, nephews Cory of Field, BC and Troy (son, Hunter) of Estevan, Sk, Gord (Dee); niece Alicia (Darren Shields- Kian, Mason, Ella and McKenna of Saskatoon, Angela of Saskatoon, Caitlyn of Bonnyville, AB; sister-in-law Agnes Wagner of Lumsden, Sk, Lynn (Don Hilderman) of Duval, Sk, Ryan (Claire, Matthew, Nathan) of Calgary, Tricia (Heath Holliday, Thad, Macy and Liam) of Swift Current and Tanielle of Calgary, AB; Diana (Ron Hilderman) of Duval, Sk, Colin (Courtney, Carson and Hannah) of Saskatoon, Sk, Dustin, and Shane (Destiny, Cooper) of PEI Trent (Rayelle Sather) of Duval; Dena Wagner of Craven, Sk, Riley of Vancouver, Jenna of Calgary, and Jordan of Craven as well as friends, relatives and neighbors, from coast to coast, in Canada and the US, all too numerous to mention. The funeral service was held at Trailview Alliance Church at 2pm April 5, 2013 with Pastors Gary Stobbs and Blair Froese officiating. Tricia Holliday sharing Les’ history. Internment to follow at a later date with a “last ride” to Regina Memorial Gardens.
