Jim and family- we just heard the news of Mort’s passing- please accept our sincere sympathy- our family spent a lot of time with Bev over the years at 4-H camps and events and held her in the highest regard and considered her the dearest of buds! Whenever Bev’s name came up in conversation over the years it ALWAYS brought smiles and warmth to us all! She will be missed and never forgotten.

Jim, I just heard today about Bev’s passing. I’m so sad to hear the news. ‘Mort’ was a one of a kind – quick of wit with an infectious laugh and a unique way of looking at the world. I so enjoyed our time together at Camp Rayner and later when she worked as a Regional 4-H Rep. Always fun to be around her great spirit – and she played a mean hand of Honeymoon Whist. I will remember her with great affection. Condolences and sympathies to you and the family, Pat Katz (Thoen)

Beve and i shared much more than our names. And i will miss her every day. She said she was way way wiser and just a little bit older than me and thus she assigned our names as Bev #1 and Bev #2 so i will forever be #2 ’cause there is no replacement for the #1. My deepest condolences to my friend Jimmy and the Mortenson family.

My deepest sympathies to Bev’s family. So so sad to hear of her passing. Did not know of her huge battle. Was a close neighbor and friend growing up. She had a dark blue car, no idea what make but used to pick me up and drive me to school every now and again. This one day after it had snowed she stepped on the gas to get through a snow bank. Oops we were late that day. You will be missed so much & always loved. Shirley

My deepest sympathy to all of Bev’s family. So heartbroken to hear of her passing. No idea of the terrible illness she had to endure. Was a neighbor growing up & friend going to school together way back when. She had a dark blue car, no idea what make. One day on the way to school after it had snowed she thought we could speed through the snow bank but not to be. We were late ha! You will be missed for sure, love always. Your old girl friend Shirley
