Tiena was one of my Sunday School teachers and I will never, ever forget her. Her enthusiasm, joy and unconditonal love for others left such an impression on me. Her faith was real and it truly encouraged me in my own journey with Jesus. One Sunday after church she took our class camping in the city with her family. There we were in the middle of the park in Swift Current eating lunch on a picnic table. She was always so much fun! Thank you for your exemplary life and your love to me anad others.
I was in church yesterday and I pictured her with all the angels praising the King of KIngs with all her might. It brought tears to my eyes as I remember her joy and her love here on earth. She will be SO missed but she is in glory now.
I just want to extend my condolences to her family- Marv, Myrnalyne and Debbie and the rest of family. Your Mom is where we all want to be when God calls us home or Jesus comes back before then. The hope of heaven is real which is such a measure of comfort for all of us left behind. Love you all and may the God of all comfort wrap you in his loving, beautiful arms.
Your sister in Christ :

Sympathy and prayers for the family of Aunt Tiena who will be missing her, but yet rejoicing that she is with her Saviour.
I enjoyed watching the Memory Video and all the love that was shared through the years.
I didn't get to see Aunt Tiena or any of my relatives very often because of missionary life and living overseas. But Aunt Tiena (and Uncle Pete) were always faithful supporters of us and our mission work, and there was often a generous hand shake when we came home to visit too!
I am grateful that I was able to see Aunt Tiena while home this summer. She was eager to join the Wed. night Bible study group and we had some nice time together. Afterwards I showed her some photos of our ministry in Africa. Her question to me was, 'Do they know Jesus?' My answer was 'yes', and that she was a part of the ministry through her support. It was such a precious interaction.
Maybe Aunt Tiena is meeting some of our African friends in heaven even now.

Grandma Hildebrand
She will always be remembered for the way she welcomed and showered her love on our family. Our boys have fond memories of watching movies with grandma Hildebrand. Her laughter will be remembered whenever a funny saying is spoken, it was a true belly
laugh. She was truly a one of a kind grandma. We will miss you but we know we will see you again in heaven. We will just need to listen for the laugh.

Aunt Tiena was a very special person! Growing up as the youngest niece and nephew on that side of the family, Kevin and I may have gotten a little more spoiled than the others, but Aunt Tiena loved us all!! And she loved to give generously! Perhaps my favorite memories of Aunt Tiena were her stories. My favorite story was when she recalled growing up in Blumenort and attending the Blumenort school. One day walking home after school through the village, a classmate rudely announced that her father (Frank Peters) was not her real Dad!! Tiena had not heard that before and had been so upset she ran home crying. She ran in to where her father was on the farm and he was very concerned to know why she was so upset, and when she told him what had happened...he said with all the love and conviction of a loving father..." I AM your real Dad!!" Tiena had so much love for the only father she ever knew! Even now that story touches my heart!
Aunt Tiena, thank you for your love for your father and especially your Heavenly Father! One day, we will meet you on the other side!
