Dale spent much of his life working in the oil field, almost 30 years as a battery operator then working for Arnold’s Construction, followed by winters working on steamers for Har-Buzz. Several summers he worked for the RM of Carmichael as one of their oldest summer students. Dale also spent many years farming in the Horseshoe Bend area where he took part in community activities.
Dale was a grateful and dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 58 years always ready with the coffee on to support anyone who came. Dale was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 33 years serving two terms as president and two terms as Vice President.
Dale loved camping especially enjoying campfires with a cup of coffee. The most important thing in the world to Dale was family. That extended from his children and grandchildren to his sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dale’s Homecare workers Lana Brown and Lynn Smart. We would also like to thank the dedicated staff at Clover House who went above and beyond to care for Dale in his last days. Donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion in memory of Dale.
