Obituary of Eva Bulbeck

BULBECK – Eva – It is with great sadness that the family of Eva Bulbeck announce her passing on Tuesday, Oct 23, 2012 at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility. Eva is survived by her children, Son: Don & Gayle Bulbeck – Adam & Christine Bulbeck(Aiden & Jack), Mark & Shauna Bulbeck(Tory & Lydia), Sara & Justin Hurtubise; Son: Dave & Cheryl Bulbeck – Melissa & Eric Kristjansson(Seth & Colby), Tanya & Blaine Hardenne(Connor & Emmett); Son: Dennis Bulbeck & Linda Allin – Devin & Denielle Bulbeck & Billie-Jean Allin; Daughter : Dolores & Brian Unger – Lesley Unger, Lindsey Unger & Evan Speir(Ty); Daughter-in-law: June Bulbeck. Brothers: Bill Reimer & Shirley & family; Delmer & Rae Reimer & family; Sister-in-laws: Marion Miller, Velma Berg, Amy Hanson, Vera Bulbeck, Rose Bulbeck, Joyce Bulbeck & Ruth Bulbeck. Brother-in-law: Bill Bulbeck and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2003, her parents Katherine & Wilhen Reimer; her in-laws Fredrick & Helen Bulbeck & numerous brothers-in-laws & sister-in-laws. Eva was born on Feb. 6, 1936 in the Star City district to Katherine & Wilhen Reimer. After the sudden passing of Eva’s dad Katherine moved her family to Herbert where Eva grew up, She married Jack Bulbeck on Nov. 12, 1953. The first years they lived in Waldeck & Swift Current, where Eva worked as a waitress at the Country Club Café. They moved to the Neidpath district in 1956 where they lived and farmed, during this time Mom worked at Canadian Tire for many years. In 1999 they retired and moved to Herbert. Eva lived in Herbert until 2008 when she moved to Heritage Towers in Swift Current & lived there until April of this year when her health forced her to move to the Herbert Nursing Home. Mom suffered a stroke on Oct 13,2012. She fought her hardest to recover but could not overcome the challenges the stroke caused. The family wants to acknowledge the wonderful care that she received from Dr. Kassett and the nursing staff as well as the staff of the nursing home. The family will miss Mom’s never ending love and concern for all of us. We love you and will miss you very much. A private family burial was held on Oct 26, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Herbert Cemetery with Pastor Ken Epp officiating. In memory of Eva Bulbeck donations to the Herbert & District Health Care Auxiliary, c/o of Esther Sigurdson, P.O. Box 554, Herbert, Sask. S0H 2A0 would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Sask.
